The Papyrus Bodmer XVIII is part of a famous collection of Biblical papyri found near the town of Nag Hammadi in Middle Egypt. This papyrus, containing text from the first 10 chapters of Deuteronomy (the fifth book of the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament, and last of the Torah), holds a place of distinction: among all remaining copies, it is the one of the two oldest (the other being at the British Museum).
