Aurélie Dellasanta chine, farfouille, déniche des objets délaissés de notre quotidien, qu’elle assemble pour leur donner une nouvelle signification. La mort, la misère, la consommation, la religion sont ses thèmes de réflexion récurrents.
Lorsqu’elle utilise pour ses broches le papier-monnaie rebrodé, Aurélie Dellasanta, outre une allusion à l’économie et à la consommation, dénonce les valeurs américaines par des raccourcis efficaces. Ici, la simple adjonction d'un L de fil doré transforme complètement le sens de la devise nationale américaine: In God We trust devient In Gold We trust.

Aurélie Dellasanta, née en 1980, a étudié à la HEAD de Genève ainsi qu'au Royal College of Art de Londres. Elle est l'auteur de plusieurs pièces de nos collections.
